What is The Process to Immigrate to Canada?

Know about the process for Canada Immigration through its most popular program called Express Entry Program.

Express Entry is a federal program based on a Comprehensive Ranking System. It is an online process and thus, most of the below mentioned steps are to be done online.

First and foremost task you should do is to get your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) done. Only after getting a positive ECA report, you can move forward to the remaining steps.

Appear for your IELTS exam, and try to score as much as you can. The minimum acceptable score is 6 bands in each module of general training IELTS.

Now you can start your process by creating your Express Entry Profile. The profile will ask you your personal credentials like age, education, work experience, etc. and gives you points accordingly

If eligible, your profile will land in Express Entry Pool among other candidates waiting to get the nomination / selection.

Meanwhile, you can register yourself with the Job Bank. To get a Job in Canada is not a mandatory requirement, but if you happen to get one, you can claim extra CRS score on this factor. Job bank is an online portal where you can meet Canadian employers looking out to hire skilled workers like you.

CIC conducts rounds of Invitations every fortnight. High ranking candidates are selected and issued ITAs in each round. If you get selected one of these rounds, then you will get 90 days’ time period to apply for PR and other document submission.
